Samarth Para Sports Programme
High-performance Para-sports preparation for the Asian Para Games and Paralympics, supported by Hyundai Motor India Foundation.
Launched in 2024, Samarth helps India's elite and emerging Para Athletes prepare for the Asian Para Games 2026, Commonwealth Games 2026, and 2028 Paralympics, through holistic, athlete-centric support.
In FY 2025–26, the programme supported 20 Para Athletes across 9 sports and 6 states, receiving 1,231 interventions spanning physiotherapy, nutrition, assistive devices, and high-performance stints.
These interventions contributed to 68 medals, including 38 international, with 9 gold medals at the 24th National Para Athletics Championships alone.

Yash Kumar — Para Canoe
The story: Accessibility challenges at home affected his independence, added physical strain, and disrupted his training routine.
The GSF impact: Samarth supported relocation to a wheelchair-accessible home near his training centre, a high-performance camp in Europe, and customised canoe seating and equipment.
The result: Represented India at the World Championships, won Bronze at the ICF World Para Canoe Cup, and was honoured with the Laxman Award.
